Peoples’ Mumbai tries to explore the real dynamics of the city in terms of people and their space. It interrogates why any space in the city becomes a place for celebration and derives the logic behind why such spaces become important at the city level contributing to city’s happiness.
The project looks at events and spaces in the city of Mumbai and maps the spatial conditions which help and promote the event to happen. It focuses on events which are temporary, a week or a month, transitional or throughout the year, known or less known places. It maps them spatially with interesting graphics. For this a pre study of understanding the aspects of public spaces helps to set certain lenses to observe the event and space.
The project concluded with creation of posters, postcards and interesting graphics for spatial maps.
